Q: What is the Shadow Government (or SG for short)?
A: Shadow Government can mean a lot of things. Literally, it is a term given to the functional underground government that is supposed to take over in case of a catastrophic attack on Washington D.C. In this case, it is a San Francisco based music project fronted by the following people:

Frank Schalk:
Vocals/Lyrics, Guitar, Bass, Yamaha DX-7, trumpet, manipulations.

Frank is currently a San Francisco State Grad student in the BECA Dept. He is an avid music
and movie collector ranging from classic rock to post-punk to film soundtracks, ranging in critical acclaim from Taxi Driver to KISS Meets the Phantom of the Park. Actually, he enjoys most forms of aural and visual media, and envisions a grand multimedia show accompanying SG live performances that KISS would be envious of. Oh, and by the way, Mr. Schalk finally got his laptop.

Frank is also a graphic designer by trade. View his work.

J. Kruger: a.k.a Minister of Vinyl Propaganda
Vocals/Lyrics, sampling, Yamaha DX-7, manipulations.

Mr. Kruger is an interesting guy. For the last 15 years or so, he has been an avid flea market and yard sale fanatic which has yielded one of the largest collection of
just plain bizarre vinyl records and movies (among other anomalies) that are known to civilization. Looking for Buford Pusser's country album on vinyl? How about the Christian Pirates LP? Dont bother looking because he probably owns the last existing copies that were ever printed. Mr. Kruger is also happens to be an avid movie geek, a World War II buff, a '60s garage/psych afficionado and W.C. Fields fan. Besides the vinyl material used by SG for sampling, Mr. Kruger provided the Yamaha DX-7 and his usually ebulliant personality on vocals to SG recordings.
